As for smokin' weed, you can do it in many places… however unless it is an official designated bar etc, then it is better & polite to ask the bar tender if it's OK. The little green 'Coffee shop' sign on the door makes the distinction between establishments which specialize in skinning' up big fat J's & establishments which invite you to join in the sipping of warm beverages in a Koffieshop or Salons de thé. Coz the locals are not so excited by the availability of marijuana or ganja or Erb etc. As it is not illegal here, so then it has lost that forbidden fruit enticement. Locals prefer…?.. Best to purchase some thing to drink, after all you are in a café…Jo anyway a nice cup of sweet tea keeps the head together in an altogether un together world.
