Caffeine & nicotine…the life blood of all Serbs. If a Serb isn't drinking coffee, he's about to. Caffeine culture in Serbia revolves around Kafanas, café/restaurants/coffee shops/bars. In the spring & summer, they all make a break for whatever sidewalk space is open & cover them in chairs. Truly a pleasurable experience. As for national cuisine, heavy, heart & flavorful. Cevap, sausages in bread & pleskavica, pork hamburgers! Lastly, a trip to Belgrade is not complete without sarma, meat & rice in a sour cabbage wrap. I'm getting hungry writing this… Bon Appétit!
