Plenty of everyday life going on around Buda and some good walks coz it's feckin' huge. .. all the nature of Gellert and up to the Caving areas. From Cittadella arriving at Szababsag Hid, this area is again rich with suburban green areas and some awfully pretty or pretty awful architecture and town planning. Not wandering too far from the 7-tram route will offer all the best this district has available. And an end to the only mountains in Hungary.T hen of course there is the whole Cittadella with great views, sporty climbs and wonderful pick'a'nick areas. under the Cittadella, are more attractions With two baths, Rac bath has also an almost non-stop summer time party place and great bar. Across the way and almost under the river bridge behind Rudas bath is another summer thing so take your pick. Then you're getting up into the castle and it is everything a castle should be. Breath taking sights. Lots of history (go on the Absolute walking tour they go through all of this stuff nicely). If you wish to see a labyrinth choose the Budapest one and not the Labirintus which is also OK but a little naff! The house of wine is a good place to visit A. If you are a genuine wine connoisseur, or B. If you want to get absolutely shit faced on good wine (they give you a glass and a cellar full of wine to 'taste'). If you get hungry there are two buffets aimed at normal people with no money. On the other side of the block from the Hilton (though the toilets are nice there and they give out free newspapers) look for the cop shop or a sort of plain looking restaurant they dole out cheap good lunches. Coffee and cakes can then be had in the famous Ruszwurm opposite the Fisherman's bastion.
