I like many others only came here for the long weekend a Long time ago………………It
has been a very looong weekend!! There are over 200 licensed premises in this
city. 15 000 inhabitants who spend a lot of time frequenting these. You are
well advised to do the same! Below are some of

This beautiful house opened her doors to the public this year & in no uncertain
terms has struck a chord with the towns stranded youth...... . . , The
first written records regarding the town as established thing are in the archives
signed sealed & delivered in February 1253. A letter inviting local eligible
bachelors to come to Jan's farm & dig holes for the hand of his daughter.
Such fair trade was abolished in the middle of 1306 when the first kings showed
up & created the abominable activity of taking taxes........

The
first man in the Rožmberk crown was Vítek a local
well to do type who was to be the forerunner for some of the biggest names in
the horseback, ballroom dancing, wig & uniform wearing Role-players in the
glorious & eventful times that bring us to this very day. One may have thought
when Krumlov was bought by The great Emperor Rudolf II in the 1590's
that the real building of relevant local history begun. One may also consider
the rare failure of rampaging religious reformists from the the North in 1416
& by far & wide the hardest bunch of horseback bible bashers & the
leaders of the Hussite reactionary front taking on & knocking many shades
of shite out of the Roman Empire in her less stable times. Were unable to conquer
the Krumlov as having started out with bad directions ….. they never found
it!! To have been a major stepping stone into legendary magic & romantic
appeal felt by times even now a-days today.

Just below if you continue down the stairs you will find boats for hire & another peculiar little pub with a good diving balcony to the deepest point of the River. For you extremists, the best place to dive is from the terrace of the Hotel Rùže. Simply jump!… But not before you have drunk your champagne cocktail, keep the bill as a souvenir ! ! Over the bridge is the Divadlo or town theatre. Not much stage stuff for non-Czech speakers but occasional interesting music acts. The Museum holds a small well conserved collection of really old stuff. From the Celtic settlement in Kajov & the Trisov village ruins dating from before the turn of the 1st century. Some other comical collections & a very impressive 3 meter sq. ceramic model of the town as the was at the turn of the 18th century A piece by World renowned Master Architect Petr & Jana Peškovi -the water color diva his good lady wife. Assembled over the 7 years just before the dissolution of the Communist regime across Central & Eastern Europe in the late great 20th Century......... . . . .. ..

a note regarding Czech cuisine.. The staple diet of Vepro-knedlo-zelo
(pork-dumplings-cabbage) is commonly considered to be the national dish of all
Czechs, Germans & Austrians. Who ever invented it.. If u like it then u
will love it & be able to afford it night-noon & morn. Another thing
you are better off not examining as u eat is the Drštková (tripe)
soup. Regarding veggie options it is common to find such unusual 'healthy alternatives'
such as deep fried cheese with ham &.... cold spaghetti with...........
poppy seeds & sugar. Perhaps its best to just have a beer ?.......

zahrada or Dear park (or now a-days car park). Which served the Kings in their
days as a kinda' live lunch meat storage space. That is until the bastard son
of Rudolf II, Don Julias inherited the town…. He preferred to marry his
prey.

the third weekend of June each year 'Slavnosti Pìtilisté
Rùže' Celebration of the five petal rose. Which proves to be as
high as the town can go. A medieval knees up to be enjoyed by everyone at least

In
the wake of de- Germanizing the area during the ended W.W.II
when the region was up to 95% Germanic speaking
peoples, who had populated the area after the Austrian Hapsburgs bashed the
Czechs out of it on the White Mountain in 1620. Then later the area was on the
2nd front line in the huge cold war borders she held with her uncomfortable
neighbor's. It led to the space where the alter tribes came to inhabit (where
angels fear to tread, if you will). There is a predominant population of Bloody
foreigner's, Gypsy families & Inspired Slavs in & around Krumlov to
keep things colorful & energized.

two Mary's were around at the same time as was the Bílá paní
ghost was still alive & in her skin. Since her horrible death at the
hands of the dungeon masters. The resident ghoul in many of the parts
of the town is note worthy in so far as she will be all dressed in flowing white
gowns. At her credit is the halting of two young girls from raising the swastika
at a children's party day... Other than sending shivers
up your spine by times…. The tale of young František who managed to
get him self on to the roof of the clock tower, his poor mother almost kicked
the bucket with fear & when the rescue party finally reached him half way
down the stairs safe & sound. Franto told them the a White ladylike person
took him in from the windswept creaking roof tiles….. She never let
you get too high!
