'Kertem' = 'My garden'. Oh, I wish. This is a wonderful wonderful place....huge trees, with colourful lanterns on their branches, the stars above it all, a very laid back crowd, sweet (but not too sweet) summer music, open grill kitchen (the Balkan Burger is a must after many spritzers). Live concerts, animations, fashion show occasionally.

Szimpla Kertmozi
A visual feast....the most random objects (bath tubs as sofas - an old Trabant as seating), random artwork, many many little lights, glass roof and lush plants create an odd harmony that makes this place curious that you wanna be there night after night. Dj-s or piano jazz.....and a lot of people. Possibly the most popular 'Kert' in the city. Ps. there is only a tiny sign from the outside.

Downstairs bar with piano where often impromptu concerts just happen.
Upstairs some rooms look like an Eastern European grandma's flat, others like some crazy designer's weirdest dream.... which is what it is, actually.

Some sighting of the boogeyman have been recorded. According to all witnesses he's wearing shorts and flip-flops, has brown hair and is normally having a Bacardi&coke looking drink.

Durer Kert
A wonderful garden sheltered by great old buildings...more like a playground for the 18+. Armchairs hanging from trees, deckchairs, water pipes, an old bus turned into a bar, lanterns, table tennis, table football, chess boards, poker table, outdoor and indoor stages for concerts going on till late. They cook something different every day on an open fire in the middle of the garden.
They sell the famous 'Sarki Feny' (pronounce: shar-kee fei-n, means polar light) which is: vodka with bubbles. Serious, serious stuff, be careful :). Beers from 420 HUF spirits on sale from 490 HUF
THEY SHOW THE WORLD CUP!! with all sorts of programmes between the games.

Pantlika Terrace
This curious little building has been there since the 60's (was designed as an info pavilion by the comrades, the roof forms the compulsory communist red star from above) and hasn't changed much ever since. Except the spirit ...it's super cooooooool. A favourite spot of bike messengers and skate boarders and other chilled-out types. Yummy bean-gulash for 850 HUF (€3) and other simple dishes.... and of course: beer (from 400HUF, €1.4), spritzer, palinka, World Cup...

The city explodes outdoor in Budapest....as with the outdoor baths, this what it's all about. 'The Longest Open air Summer Festival' is raucously nested between the highways. Day & night large menu of salads & BBQ, full bar beer-garden to beat it all. Pretty big acts, gigs daily at 8pm, later 2 dance floors, BIG SCENE, DJ's kicking sounds. Plenty of options of hangin' or jumpin' around from morning till dawn. The sky's the limit.... It's party time!!!!
